Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently competes at the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko's older sister is of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career with a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition in the finals and beat Suzane Miller in the finals with a one-sided decision. Antonina took home a trophy of silver in 2007, and a medal of bronze in 2008, and an award of gold in the year 2011. In addition, she was named IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champ in 2016. Antonia's professional career started in 2003. She won in 2012 an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas during her final match in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was able to win in the second round of a TKO fight, and the subsequent two fights during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. The result was the record being 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and devoted her time to boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by unanimity. She left the promotion in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko was defeated by Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina employed her impressive strike techniques and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this win. Antonina received the UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko took the win with a unanimous decision. She lost her subsequent fight to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the evening for this bout. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her following three fights. Shevchenko beating Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
